Grant Pacers looks to keep their perfect home record hosting the McClatchy Lions Wednesday night.

LOOMIS, CA - Woodcreek head coach Burnel Pinkerton knew that with an 18-point advantage at halftime, the game was far from over.  Fortunately for him, Del Oro's efforts to complete a comback were stopped short as the Timberwolves defeated the Golden Eagles 63-55. 

"We knew at some point they were going to come back, they're too good of team and have too much time not to," said Pinkerton.  Del Oro's lack of ability to make shots and Woodcreek's great ball movement, allowed the Timberwolves to lead 32-18 at the intermission.

Del Oro came out in the second half acting like the first never happened.  Senior Spencer Butterfield and junior Aaron Hendricks led the Golden Eagles back into the game.  Butterfield scored 11 of his 21 points and 15 of Hendricks 18 came in the final quarters.

With just over two minutes remaining, Del Oro narrowed the lead to just two.  But Woodcreek came right back with a layup and Del Oro went cold.  The Golden Eagles were forced to start fouling and the Timberwolves made their free throws

Timberwolve seven-foot center finished with a game high 23 points and was the primary reason Woodcreek was able to get a big lead early on.  Kurtz constantly attack the basket and Del Oro had trouble stoppping him.  Nik Milani added 21 for Woodcreek; he and Kurtz each had 11 rebounds.

Woodcreek is know 2-0 in league play and hosts Oakmont next Thursday and Del Oro, now 0-1 in league, travels to Oakmont Tuesday.

Oakmont's varsity basketball coach is more than just a coach to the team. Senior Freddy Mobley states that "he is like a father figure."

Coach Campbell not only wants the team to be great on the court, but also become outstanding citizens outside of the court in the surrounding community. Campbell is always there for his team and is teaching the team life lessons that they can carry on throughout their lives.

After losing the Division 2 State Championship game, the Rocklin football players coaches, and fans were sad but still proud of what they had accomplished.

 Holiday Season has offically arrived on the campus of Franklin High School. The annual door decorating contest is in full swing. All first period classes are invited to participate in this competition. The most competitive teachers on campus are Ms. Davenport and Mr. Alburn.

LOOMIS, CA - January 28, 2002.� That was the last time anyone below 1000 ft saw any sort of precipitation that could be called snow.� On the morning of Monday December 7, 2009, residents all over the Sacramento valley woke up to white covered yards and snow-covered cars.� Schools in the foothills were given a snow day, but some schools, such as Del Oro High, remained open, allowing kids to enjoy the white stuff with their friends.�

Upon arriving to school, kids could be seen plucking snow off of cars and hurling balls of ice at each other.� "It's pretty intense, it just gives you that extra little thrill in the morning to wake you up for school," added fellow senior Toby Uptain-Villa.

Unfortunately, the Sun couldn't be hidden by the clouds for long, and by the time school ended, most of the snow had been reduced to ice.� "I felt like I lived in Minnesota for a day," said senior Danielle La Rose.

Play number one came from the Central Catholic at Modesto Christian game.

Jack Killian got the ball and ran like he's on a mission, jumping over defenders. Juking and dodging, slipping through guys fingers for a 38-yard run.

Play three: E-C got the interception, then in the second quarter he had another identical interception tipped off the wide receiver's hands.

Demitrius Williams of Inderkum fired to Morico Thomas for a 14-yard touchdown and a 14-to-nothing Inderkum lead.

Later, Demitrus Williams found Devon Hartley for another 14-yard T.D. hook-up. Inderkum moved on and Casa Roble's Playoff run was over.

The final score is 60-6.

 In this first week of playoffs, the Nevada Union running back Drew Hoskin takes the snap.

He launches it all the way down the field to Dan Pettinato who makes a great 25 yard catch.
